Why it differs
A held temperature, not a melting one
The NICE1 holds a chosen temperature for the whole session. Ice-based units — Game Ready, Breg Polar Care, DonJoy Iceman, Ossur Cold Rush, cryo cuffs — start cold and drift warm as the ice melts. The argument is control and consistency, never more cold: the NICE1 itself only reaches 42°F. A second real advantage — the NICE1 does not require a physician's prescription, where Game Ready does.
