Founded in 2012 by Michael Ross after a ski crash and multiple knee surgeries, NICE Recovery Systems spent 3 years developing the NICE1 with orthopaedic surgeons. FDA clearance came in December 2014; production started in 2015 in Boulder, Colorado. It has supported over 250,000 procedures.

How much does it cost to rent the NICE1?
$43/day or $300/week (CAD), billed in 2-week increments. Minimum fees apply, and extensions are available per your physician’s medical necessity.
Do I need a prescription to rent?
No, a prescription is not required. There’s an optional field on the form if you have one, and it never blocks your enquiry.
When should I order before surgery?
Your unit is delivered two days before your surgery date, so it is home and ready when you are.
